Beautiful Utpal! I did not know what Navratara meant, so looked it up. If I am correct in my limited understanding, this is the most important of the Navaratis, the Sharad Navarati? The story behind the festivals was amazing to read. Thank you for sharing this with us and bridging our worlds and cultures with your haiku!
All, I am extremely sorry for such a late response. I was engrossed with my Chanting during the festive occasion of 'Navratra'. I hope my acerbity would be forgiven.
'Sarve santu sukhinah, sarve santu niramayah'
All be happy and healthy'
With this I thank you all for being an constant motivation for my writes and thoughts.
Lea, Thanks a lot for taking extra pain of googling. Yes it is Sharad Navratra.
Sharad is sankritised word which means 'Winter'.
I remember my childhood when actually at this side of earth we used to wear warm clothes. Now it is warm all the way. Nations are little busy with defrosting for oil & gas and testing their nuclear and other bombs. After that they are lecturing us about diminishing usages of paper so that all can be on Internet and be tracked as data. Nonetheless, the hunger of power has only deepened.
We are one and we will be always. It is just about looking in the things holistically.
